DeFi Asset Management: Getting Started with Velvet.Capital

We bring a message from the land of Velvet.Capital!

For everyone from newbs to novices to the Chaddest of the Chads- DeFi can be hard and a bit intimidating! That’s why at Velvet.Capital we’re on a mission to make DeFi simpler, safer and more intuitive than ever before. We went live last week with our V1 and want to start onboarding all your beautiful faces.
We strive to make your portfolio management as intuitive and turnkey as possible. However, we do know how daunting onboarding can be, especially for novices. That’s why we created this brief guide for all our fellow DeFi pioneers out there (including a bonus round on ‘How to Buy BNB’ with Metamask).

Hopefully, this tutorial can help:

Go to https://velvet.capital/ and click the “Launch App” button on the home screen. This should redirect you to https://app.velvet.capital/.
On the top left corner, you should see a “Dashboard,” with three unique investment products: ‘Blue Chip,’ ‘Yield by Venus,’ and ‘Top 10’ (more on them soon😊).

3. To deposit funds, first, you need to connect your wallet. On the same page, click “Connect a Wallet” on the top right corner. We currently integrate with “Metamask” (more options coming soon😊). You can create a Metamask wallet with the link provided below, in case you don’t already have one.

4. A pop-up should appear saying “Connect with Metamask.” Clicking this button will redirect you to a pop-up. Select the “sign” option to connect your Metamask to the dApp.

5. Tip: If you do not have Metamask, follow this link to download: https://metamask.io/download/.

How to Buy BNB on Metamask

Now that your wallet is set-up/connected, you will need BNB to deposit.

2. You should now have your Metamask wallet plug-in on your web browser.

3. In your wallet, click “Buy.” From the dropdown menu you will see three options: “Transak, MoonPay, and Direct Deposit.” You can use Transak or Moonpay to buy BNB with a credit/debit card and deposit into your Metamask.
4. For Transak, you will be redirected to their website. Place the amount in your preferred currency you want to buy, and convert it to the currency of your choice. For example, I could buy $50 USD worth of BNB.

5. Upon confirmation of the transaction, you will receive the BNB in your wallet.
6. From the Dashboard select the fund or funds you want to deposit into. Input the amount of BNB you want to deposit and click “Deposit.”

& You’re All Done, Frens! Easy as A-B-C, 1–2–3.
